Recording & Media Release – ADU Workshop & Q&A

1. Recording Notice
This workshop, including any Q&A portions, will be audio- and video-recorded by [LEVEL ENGINEERING] (“Organizer”). The recording may capture your image, voice, name, and any questions or comments you submit via audio, video, chat, or other features.

2. Consent to Recording and Use
By registering for and/or attending this workshop, you:

Consent to be recorded, including your image, voice, and any content you share during the event.
Grant Organizer a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, perform, edit, adapt, and create derivative works from the recordings, in whole or in part, in any media now known or later developed, for:
Public sharing (e.g., websites, social media, video platforms like YouTube)
Marketing and promotional materials
Training, internal use, and future educational content

3. No Expectation of Compensation
You understand and agree that:

You will not receive compensation (payment, royalties, or otherwise) for Organizer’s use of the recordings or your appearance in them.
You have no right of approval over how Organizer uses the recordings, so long as such use is consistent with this Release and applicable law.

4. Ownership of Recordings
All recordings and related media (including video, audio, screenshots, transcripts, and edited clips) created in connection with this workshop are the sole property of Organizer. You do not acquire any ownership rights in the recordings.

5. Waiver and Release of Claims
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you:

Waive and release any and all claims you may have against Organizer and its employees, officers, contractors, partners, and agents arising out of or related to the recording, use, or distribution of your image, voice, name, or statements as described in this Release.
This includes, without limitation, claims for invasion of privacy, violation of the right of publicity, defamation, or misappropriation.

6. Your Choices During the Event
If you do not want to appear prominently in the recording, you may:

  • Keep your camera turned off and microphone muted;
  • Use a first name only or pseudonym visible to others, if allowed by the platform;
  • Submit questions via anonymous Q&A or chat if available.
  • Please note that any content you choose to share (e.g., speaking aloud, appearing on camera, or posting identifiable information in chat) may still be included in the recording.

 

7. Do Not Share Sensitive Information
This workshop is for general educational purposes only and may be published publicly. You agree not to share sensitive personal, financial, or confidential information about yourself or others during the event.

8. Minors
This event is intended for adults. By registering and attending, you confirm you are at least 18 years old.

9. Withdrawal of Consent
You may contact Organizer at [email protected] before or during the event if you:

Do not wish to be recorded, or
Want Organizer to avoid using your name or likeness in publicly shared materials as much as reasonably possible.
Organizer will make reasonable efforts on a going-forward basis, but cannot guarantee removal of content that has already been published, distributed, or incorporated into existing materials.

10. Governing Law
This Release will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of [YOUR STATE, e.g., California], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

By registering for or attending the workshop, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Recording & Media Release.
